21 day soda fix (update-update-update)

Update: Update: Update: So today is day 18-so that means come this weekend, I will have completed my CZ21DAYFIX!  I have fasted soda for 18 days, can you believe it?  I sure can't.  I feel much better, but today I wanted a soda.  I even thought, well I'll just grab one today-since I've been doing so good!  NO BRAIN!  NO YOU CANNOT TRICK ME!

Update: Update: So today is 13 and I am going out to lunch with a friend of mine today that I have not seen in a long time.  We used to work together, but she wised up and got a fantastic job that she loves and makes more money to (win win)....anyway, we are going to lunch today and this will be a great test for me to just order water or unsweet tea.  I have not been out to eat much since I gave up Coke Zero.  Wish me luck!


Update: Well today is day 10-so I have had no soda in a little over a week.  This past weekend, I felt great-had lots of energy and was taking care of things that I was just to sluggish to take care of before in the ways of house work.  So I got a lot of things organized at home over the weekend with this extra energy.  I even got out of the house and went to the store in town to buy new bowls for the kids cereal, because they have broken all my other ones.  Ahh kids.  Which reminds me I need to clean out the cabinets next, things are very unorganized there because apparently the kids do NOT know how to put things away-lol!  Anyway.....here's to the next 10 days of no soda and then one more day after that and I will have officially been off soda for 21 days - and completed my goal!




Well, I have tried to stop drinking Coke Zero about a gazillion times-so this time will hopefully not be the same as those times, hopefully THIS time I can stick to my "why".  I am working on day four of my twenty one day no soda fix.  And if I am being honest, all I am doing is thinking about my afternoon soda!  My brain is thinking of nothing but on day four.  The first three days were not as bad, as it was the weekend & I normally don't have one on the weekend-it's a rare treat if I do.  I had all together just stopped buying them for the house, so I could eventually get to this little experiment.  They say, that soda is bad for many many reasons-even diet soda.  To name a few:

  1. No nutritional value what so ever
  2. High in sugar (the body uses fake sugar the same as real)
  3. Can cause weight gain (duh)
  4. All chemicals (gross)
    1. can cause aggression
    2. ADD
    3. Lack of focus
    4. Abnormal brain function (just what I need right?)
  5. Heart Disease
  6. Caffeine addiction (and I guess I have it bad)
  7. Can cause soft bones
  8. Dehydration
  9. Weakens kidney & liver
  10. TOOTH DECAY
I'm no doctor, but all of that is yucky stuff for sure.  I am saying this, as I sip on my very so boring flat water.  My daughter has given me some advice on some yummy fizzy water-that I will be trying out!  Get that fizzy fix.
